Jakarta (SEMISLOT88) – The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) handed over Harvey Moeis and Helena Lim, suspects in a tin bribery case, along with luxury cars and branded goods as evidence, to the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office on Monday.
Both suspects arrived at the prosecutor’s office in prison vests at 10:50 a.m.
AGO legal information head Harli Siregar stated that investigators confiscated 11 plots of land and buildings in Jakarta and Tangerang from Moeis in the second stage of delegation.
Eight luxury cars, including two Ferraris, were also confiscated, along with 88 branded bags, 141 pieces of jewelry, 400,000 US dollars, and 13.5 billion rupiahs in cash and gold.
From Lim, the investigators confiscated six plots of land and buildings in Jakarta and Tangerang, three cars, 37 branded bags, two Richard Mille watches, 45 pieces of jewelry, 2 million Singapore dollars, and 1.485 billion rupiahs.
“The two suspects will be detained for the next 20 days at Jakarta’s Salemba Detention Center,” Siregar said.
Earlier on July 11, the AGO delegated three other suspects (AS, BN, and SW) in the bribery case.
Thirty prosecutors are preparing the indictment and handling the case. To date, 22 suspects face bribery charges related to trading permits issued by state-owned company PT Timah.
The scandal, allegedly occurring between 2015 and 2022, is estimated to have caused state losses of 300 trillion rupiahs (around 18.55 billion US dollars), according to the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
