Things to watch out for
The trek offers the travellers some of the most amazing views with a very little climb, one does not have to go deep into a region of the valley like in the case of Manali or climb for a long stretch over multiple days to get some beautiful views.Although not much of this trek passes through the forests, it sure gives us a lot of lovely forest segments that tourists will cherish forever. The trek takes the travellers through rhododendrons, pine, and coniferous trees. Trekking through the forest and the huge opening of the ridge at the end of the tree line is surely a sight you will never forget.
The Triund Trek is not really the last destination of the trek, unlike other summit treks that people know. This trek has much more to offer for trekking enthusiasts. If you wish to explore more and have some extra experience of trekking in the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas, then the Triund trek is just the right place for you as it acts as a gateway to a plethora of new adventures.
There are a number of places to explore like going all the way to the snow line, the Lakha Cave and the trekkers who are seasoned and experienced trekkers can go for the Indrahar Pass Trek that spans over multiple days.
Best time to visit
Except during the months of the monsoon season i.e., July, August and the months of peak winter January, February, the Triund trek can be done around the year.
The spring season and the summer months of March to June offer the best weather conditions to trek in. All you will need is one extra layer of clothing, and you are good to go. The trek is just perfect if you wish to escape the harsh summer heat of the city like during the months of April and May.
The months after the monsoon season are best if you want to admire the beautiful views, as these months offer the clearest views of the mountain peaks from the trek. And if you visit the trek during the month of December, then you will probably get to witness the first snowfall as well.
