What are the causes behind QuickBooks error QBW32.exe?

  13. Now, go for the rename folder option.
  14. Also, rename it and also enter CPSOLD
  15. The user should then hit enter tab.
  16. And make a new CPS folder and open QuickBooks desktop.
  17. Now, download the latest payroll tax table update

Condition 1: If One Version of QuickBooks Desktop Installed

If you have only one version of QuickBooks desktop installed, no need to complete these steps.

  • First, make the backup of your QuickBooks company file.
  • Close all the applications, if open.
  • Open the Run Window.
For Windows 8:
  • First of all, Go to under the Window System section.
  • Now open the Start screen
  • After that right-click on the background to All Apps
  • Now select Run option.
For Windows 7 and XP:
  • If you are not logged in with Admin rights just click Start
  • After that click on All Programs
  • Then click on Accessories
  • And finally click Run.

You can perform the below steps and try shunning off the QBW32.exe error:

Method 1: Running QuickBooks install diagnostic tool

  • You are required to download the QuickBooks install diagnostic tool and then save the file in the system
  • When the installation process is complete, close all the running programs in the system and then run the tool
  • This takes a couple of minutes. And the running process of the diagnostic tool totally depends on the system performance and internet speed, and need not to worry if it takes some time to complete
  • You are required to reboot the system so that it can run effectively
  • First thing to do is right-click on the taskbar of the “Windows” and then tap on “Start Task Manager“.
  • After this click on the “Process button” and then on the “Image name header” so as to arrange the processes alphabetically.
  • Once done search and then choose the “QBW32.exe” and after that click on “End Process“.
  • First right click on the “QuickBooks Desktop” icon and then press the “Ctrl key“.
  • Now click on “Open function“.
  • Ensure that you do not release the “Ctrl key” till the “No company open window” of the company is displayed.
  • After this access your QuickBooks file

 

Method 2: Ending the QBW32.exe process

  • Under this process, you are supposed to head to the taskbar of the windows and right click on it
  • Find the option of the start task manager and click on it
  • Select the process tab and the image name header option
  • The list of all files will be arranged in a list
  • Look for the exe file and click on it
  • End the process by selecting the end process tab
  • Firstly, Download the QBInstall tool and then run it to fix an array of errors that you may be facing when opening QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Here’s how:
    • First download the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool.
    • Save the file in your PC when it is prompted.
    • After this close “All programs” if they are open and then run your “QBInstall Tool“
    • Please note that it can take 20 minutes to complete and depends upon the speed of the internet as well as the performance of the computer.
    • After running the tool, reboot the system so that all the applications are effectively updated.
  • If all the above steps fail then all you need to do is uninstall the program and reinstall it and then run it again.
  • A clean installation means that installing all files again in a fresh folder but it is actually a similar default folder. This whole process will not be able to remove or delete the company file in any way.
