About IGNOU MCA Program
MCA or Master in Computer Application is a graduate course which provides students with the opportunity to study all core aspects of Information Technology. – Candidates applying under SC/ST category will get a relaxation up to 05 years in their upper age limit.
– Candidates applying under OBC/ Minority category will get a relaxation up to 03 years in their upper age limit.
IGNOU MCA 2021-22 – Application Process
So, if you are looking forward to pursuing your MCA from IGNOU but have not yet applied for it then here is a detailed blog post about how you can apply for the same. The application process has been divided into two categories:
- Registration & Fee payment by students online through SBI Collect portal only. No offline mode of fee collection will be allowed anymore!
- Submission of filled in applications along with photocopies of required documents and demand draft / cash coupon payable at any branch of State Bank Of India (SBI) drawn on or after 24th February towards registration fees as mentioned above. Candidates should mention their name, programme code and course/ semester opted for on the reverse of demand draft / cash coupon.
- Candidates can opt for either of two formats (Xerox or soft copy) to submit their application.

IGNOU MCA Course Eligibility Criteria
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program to students who want to build a career in the field of computer applications. The eligibility criteria for admission into the IGNOU MCA program are as follows:
- The applicant must have passed with at least 50% marks in any Bachelor’s degree program from a recognized university.
- The applicant must have studied mathematics or statistics as one of the subjects in their undergraduate program.
IGNOU MCA Course Fees Structure
For applying for admission into the MCA program offered by IGNOU, applicants have to pay an application fee which is Rs 500/- . Applicants will also have to pay an examination fee which is Rs 2000/- if they wish to appear in the entrance exam held every year by the university. Application Procedure of IGNOU MCA Course:
To apply for admission into the IGNOU MCA program, the applicant must submit a form along with all relevant documents. The applicant can submit the form online via IGNOU’s official website. The documents that must be submitted along with the application include:
- Proof of having passed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Copies of all relevant educational certificates
- A passport size photograph and recent digital photo of oneself taken on a plain white background, without any headgear or glasses etc., to facilitate identification at the test centre.
